So...Who are we?

We are a congregation of the Uniting Church in Australia. Our community is made up of people of all ages, ranging from infants, children, youth, young and middle aged adults, and seniors.

We also cater for a diverse range in worship styles, and have created a variety of groups where people can feel a sense of belonging and explore life.

We also seek ways to serve the local community. We do this through a number of programs including emergency relief and support counseling, various interest groups, KidsHope mentoring program, and the Holy Smoke DreamZone youth project.

At Coatesville we also encourage each person to seek their own direction and purpose in life, and particularly how they understand themselves as servants of Christ in the wider community.

As part of the Uniting Church we share in the wider ministry of the church through regional, state and national ministry, and take our place in the wider work of the whole Christian church.

These give some expression to our understanding of the God we believe in.
If we wanted to communicate anything about God, this is where we would begin.

• Every person is loved by God. Our experience of God’s love for us allows us to love God, ourselves and others.
• God is there for all, a constant, faithful friend in good times and bad.
• God can be experienced in many ways in the world around us.
• In God we find a source of peace, comfort and strength. God guides us in every aspect of our life.
• In partnership with God, we can make a difference to help fulfill God’s purpose for all.
• Our doubts and questions are valid and reveal a deep human desire to know God.
• Jesus died so that we may live in a right relationship with God.
